Hello, my name is Patricia.

I am an associate professor at ISEG Lisbon School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon. Before joining ISEG, I worked at the James Hutton Institute in Scotland and at Imperial College London.

My main research interests relate to urban and regional economics, economic geography, transport economics and transport geography. Here are some of the problems I study:
  • linkages between transport investment, agglomeration economies and economic development;
  • spatial disparities in regional development;
  • drivers of travel demand and mode choice;
  • nexus between sustainable mobility and urban spatial structure;
  • output and cost efficiency of public transport operators.
